ARC ANACROUSE

ARC ANACROUSE is an instrumental and vocal group. Its performers are dressed in medieval clothes. It was created and is managed by Patrick Beck. In the group, Roland Ferrandi is musician, arranger and also artistic director.

ARC ANACROUSE includes fifteen singers on four desks and ancient instruments such as lute, cister, citola, guitara battente, string-tambourine and also percussions : darbouka, thar, bendir, italiano tambourine as well as various wood-blocks and bells According to the specificity of the music and if requested, other well-known groups may join.

ARC ANACROUSE performs mainly in the South of France. The group is located in Arcs-sur-Argens (as its name shows).

ARC ANACROUSE performs in concerts, festivals and medieval entertainments. Its audience is growing.

ARC ANACROUSE can be heard at :

  • Le Palais des Congrès in Marseille
  • La Ciotat Festival
  • Arcs-sur-Argens Festival
  • Château of Grimaud

  • and in other places...

    The group also organizes the musical part of important productions.
    For 2003, ARC ANACROUSE is in charge of the musical management of the Medieval Days in Les Arcs. During this four-day festival, the audience may hear different musical groups, see medieval fights, processions, minstrels.
